What our clients have to say about us
Andrew is a good plumber and a solid guy. We had him out to do our bathroom renovation and he worked hard to get it roughed in on time for us to hit our next milestone in the renovation. He came back when we were ready for the next phase and delivered a high quality service.
Both Andrew and Kostya were professional and compassionate about our plumbing issue – what was supposed to be a simple job turned into a very large issue but they were efficient and ultimately resolved it without any sign of frustration! Great team, service, and value. Highly recommend!
Very professional, fast response and personable service, I would recommend them to anyone, family owned business with integrity.
We are a family based company focusing on ethical business practices, high customer satisfaction and fair pricing.
Andrew grew up in Edmonton Alberta where he dreamed of becoming a professional hockey player. He played for the Gonzaga Bulldogs while attending Gonzaga University in Spokane Washington. After graduating he went to Kyrgyzstan (a former Soviet Republic) to teach English and learn a little Russian.
He changed his dream to becoming a college professor and went on to pursue a PHD in Economics at the University of Oregon. He wasn’t able to complete his PHD but did graduate with his Master’s Degree. He loved his time in Oregon and credits this time for his love of big trees, very hoppy IPAs and ashtanga yoga – which he also practiced in Mysore India for six weeks.
After moving up the coast to Vancouver Andrew worked briefly for Manulife Financial as an analyst. He quickly decided life behind a desk was not meant for him and changed careers to become a plumber. He loves working with his hands and figuring out problems – this is the only job he could ever see himself doing. In his spare time Andrew enjoys playing piano and singing karaoke. Before kids he used to enjoy trail running and has completed three marathons, including the 2014 Boston Marathon.
I’m one of those rare people who knew from the early age that my career is going to be a physical one. Prior to becoming a plumber I have been a dancer since I could remember myself.
After 15 years of dancing I have made a decision to retire and transition into something familiar to me. I come from a family of plumbers so being on the tools was nothing new to me. Known for my easy going and my nature to seek community and connection in life, when I’m not working you can find me on the beautiful trails of Anmore wearing my dog dad
As a former internationally acclaimed ballet dancer who danced with the Hong Kong Ballet and Royal Winnipeg Ballet I have always strived for perfection, which has translated into the work that I do these days.
Homeowners hire us for any of their plumbing needs. Whether it’s renovations or service we are always punctual, professional and diligent.
Seeing how much clients love our services the results we achieve in a timely manner, motivates me to continue to learn, grow and challenge both myself and my partner Andrew
Lena Keshysheva had been with Iliad Mechanical since day one helping through legal and financial matters.
By profession, Lena is a Certified Financial Planner with additional knowledge in accounting and corporate law.
She assists Iliad Mechanical with administrative and financial matters. Lena and Andrew have 3 kids. They recently relocated to Powell River to pursue their passion of outdoor sports and boating. They are also excited to serve their new vibrant community.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I spent the majority of my adolescent years in Europe training with some of the world’s best dance companies. After graduating high school I became a professional ballerina between the ages 18-27
Kostya and I met in Hong Kong; after which we worked at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet. After my dance career I transitioned to teaching ballet, yoga and fitness in Vancouver.
I joined Iliad Mechanical in the year 2022 Jan as the business bloomed in the community. Our loyal customers loved the quick response and caring attitude we provide in every stressful and frustrating situation. My job is to make sure I bring in the best customer services and communicate with possible collaborations from small home services to big scale renovations and projects.
I hope to meet many more lovely neighbors and build a supportive and honest business with our vibrant community.
